Subject: Ferry Tolling
Thank you for your recent emails regarding the
ferry tolling issue for Knotts Island and Ocracoke. I can assure
you that all RPO/TAC participants in this decision are hearing
your concerns and will make a decision in which your concerns are
considered.
As you are probably aware, the RPO/TAC has been
asked to postpone any vote on this issue until proposed
legislation regarding other means of funding the ferries can be
reviewed and hopefully passed by our representatives and senators
in Raleigh. I am an alternate member of the TAC, but I would
expect that all of the voting members will honor this request.
Thank you again for your participation in this
issue and hopefully it will be resolved in an equitable manner by
our state legislators as soon as possible.
